From Intricate Tattoos To Face Jewels And Body Glitter, Here’s Everything We Saw At Torino’s Kappa FuturFestival
It’s a hot and sticky summer. What better way to spend it than raving at Torino’s Kappa FuturFestival? Founded back in 2009, as a one-off party to celebrate the centenary of Futurism, the festival is now in its 8th iteration. Located in the Italian city’s dystopian urban jungle, the iconic Parco Dora, Kappa FuturFestival is a two-day bender filled with bright lights, trippy visuals, and pulsating electro beats, which this year came courtesy of Seth Troxler, Solomun, Carl Cox, Peggy Gou and Derrick May to name but a few. There to capture it all was London-based artist and photographer Marco Walker. “This Techno Mecca attracts people from all corners of the world who come together to dance and celebrate the latest DJ’s on the circuit in 35-degree heat,” says Marco. “The atmosphere was electric from start to finish but with so many big hitter DJ’s playing on all of the four stages it was almost impossible to find time to kick back. The fierce-looking crowd turned out to be the friendliest ravers I’ve encountered anywhere and when we asked them their idea of beauty we were pleasantly surprised with there diverse responses full of love and harmony.”
