Founded in 1987 by record producer, composer and international DJ Kevin Saunderson (who together with his Detroit compatriots Juan Atkins and Derrick May, are renowned as 'The Belleville Three', the pioneers of Techno) and singer Paris Grey, Inner City are best known for their first crossover hits 'Big Fun' and 'Good Life'. Further successes saw the group reach the top of the Billboard dance chart in the United States five times and achieve nine hits in the Top 40 of the UK singles chart. The 30th anniversary marked a new chapter for Inner City, one that sees Kevin Saunderson now joined by his son and creative protégé Dantiez as a full-time member. New material and a live show, with a variety of musical collaborators and singers, were presented at the 2018 Movement Festival, which paved the way for the new era of Inner City, working together with local talent including vocal sensation, Steffanie Christi'an.With more than three decades of Inner City experience, a renewed commitment to live performance with a strong family unit; and two generations of Saunderson men in the studio - Inner City are ready to enjoy the good life as much today as in 1987.
