As a DJ, Marie Montexier's sound is slick and dynamic, bringing together electrifying grooves from all eras and corners of the globe—classic rave cuts and modern club sounds, thumping party-rockers syncopated beat experiments, all of it mixed seamlessly on vinyl via elegant blends, tight cuts and the occasional cheeky spinback. She's played many of the world's best clubs, including fabric, Berghain, and De School, as well as festivals like Pitch Australia, DGTL Amsterdam, Lente Kabinet, Butik, Waterworks, Love International and Pollerwiesen, while holding a residency at the Berlin party Warning and hosting a show on HÖR. In 2021, she co-founded Précey, a collective dedicated to supporting women, queer and nonbinary artists in the male-dominated world of dance music. The same year, she launched Paryìa, a label pushing a striking blend of club and experimental sounds, mostly from as-yet unknown artists. Her label, like her DJ sets, makes it perfectly obvious: Marie Montexier is an essential new voice in today's electronic music landscape.
For someone who needs something more refined in records, books and movies, Simone De Kunovich still conveys the enthusiasm of a beginner. Over the last decade, he has managed to travel the world in search of rarities for his Ultimo Tango label and YouTube channel, to play shows in iconic clubs in London, Tokyo, Paris, New York or his hometown Milan. His vast multidisciplinary knowledge has made him an appreciated trendsetter, who moves at the crossroads between cinema, music and design, always with a keen taste for the unusual. Glimpses of this lifelong quest can be heard in his studio project “New World”, inspired by the Exploitation films of the 70s and the first electronic experimentations, or in his mixes for NTS Radio, powered by gems house from the 90s - but again, in a world of cultural standardization and predictability, the best way to experience the wonderful tension of It is unexpected to see him at work beyond the plates.
