If this period has taught us anything, it's that Sally C isn't joking at all. The DJ born in Belfast and living in Berlin has established herself as one of the most promising artists on the scene, thanks above all to her skills as a selector.
With a deep passion for vintage house, ranging from hip house, acid and breakbeat, to techno and the most futuristic electronics, he has developed a great ability to select timeless classics that deserve to shine thanks to his sets.
Sally perfected her style while living in Scotland, where she went to university, managing an evening at the local Dundee hotspot The Reading Rooms. She moved to Berlin in 2015, where she found her place in a thriving clubbing, organizing parties at Griessmühle and its outdoor raves, while building a fanbase for her raw and powerful style.
Independent, she launched her label Big Saldo's Chunkers in 2020, inspired by the golden age of hip house and the sounds of the '88-'98, and by the influences of black pioneers such as Fast Eddie, Tyree and the legendary K-Hand, whose innovative music had an enormous impact on her. To date, original productions such as 'Let's Get This' and 'Downtown' have established themselves as classics, thanks to Sally's vision and her commitment to creating tracks that adhere to her three fundamental principles of production: a powerful bass line, powerful drums and a psychedelic voice. “That is the Holy Trinity! Simplicity is key — less is always more,” Sally says.
Other recent highlights include Bradley Zero's debut on the Rhythm Section label with 'The Way To Do It' and a sublime remix of the track 'Sugar' by up-and-coming Nigerian artist Obongjayar. His best live moments include a series of unforgettable sets at Panorama Bar, his first US tour, Melt Festival, The Warehouse Project with the Chemical Brothers, the iconic Pitch Music & Arts Festival in Australia, and an epic b2b with Dan Shake and Eliza Rose at the legendary Rex Club in Paris, among others.
In addition to DJing and producing, Sally is a resident of the community radio station Refuge Worldwide in Berlin.
